My Letter To You
Aug 20, 2026
Just read it. I think you'll like it.
Dear, You
You. I am looking straight at you. You are in the top one percent of engineers and developers. You are the one that embraced Claude code when it came. You who understands how LLMs work. You who want to build something special right after graduating. I know you think you are not special, but you are. You seem the same as everyone else because you surround yourself with the same people. Stretch your wings and look out, and you’ll realize how special you are. Not everyone has a codex thread running /goal or running claude with dynamic workflows. Most people probably don’t even know what that is. Just take a moment to move away from your bubble, into the rest of the world. You’re in SF, of course all you see id posters of AI, and B2B saas. Go anywhere else in the country, it’s blank. It’s normal. No AI. The vast majority of the people outside the bay are clueless to how powerful AI has become. They were the ones who tested it when it first came out, but the ones who saw how useless it was back then and believed it would be the same. You have seen the shift. The rapid pace of growth. You know how good it codes, and how turning back to a lifestyle before AI would be impossible. It became vital as the programming language.
But surrounding all this is a huge social taboo against it. It’s those people who haven’t seen how good it is, who are skeptical of it. And sadly, most of the people on X are those people. Who dismisses your work because you had Claude write code, haven’t seen what it can do. They don’t know, and they don’t care, because they are not in the top one percent. You are. Ignore them. Move out. Continue building what you’re curious about, because now you can. You can build anything. You know how these tools work, you're made for this. That’s all you need right? What else? Just build. Be curious and continue building.
Best, Me
